There is something so sacred about February babies.
The world outside is quiet. Snow blankets the ground. Everything feels still… expectant… peaceful.
And then a tiny cry changes everything. 🤍
Sweet Theo made his arrival and it has been such an honor to walk alongside Courtney and Austin through this season of their story — from their Sweet Downtown Crown Point pregnancy announcement to their beautiful Christmas tree maternity session … and now finally meeting their precious baby boy.
Being invited into moments like this is never something I take lightly.
Just a few short weeks before Theo was born, we were documenting Courtney’s glowing maternity session, anticipation filling the air, the sweetest kind of waiting.
And then February came.
Snow covered the ground outside their home, creating the most peaceful backdrop for this in-home newborn session. There’s something so cozy and intimate about winter newborn photos — the warmth inside contrasting the chill outside. It feels safe. It feels tender. It feels like home.
Theo’s nursery was absolutely stunning.
Soft, calming tones. Thoughtful details. The sweetest personalized touches. You could tell every corner was prepared with intention and prayerful love.
The statement wall with his name — Theo Wheeler — was such a beautiful focal point. (And can we talk about those dreamy mountain details? So precious.) It felt peaceful and strong all at once — the perfect space to welcome a baby boy.
Watching Courtney and Austin hold him in that room… their foreheads pressed together… soaking in those first days as parents — it’s moments like that where I have to remind myself I get to call this my job.
Because truly? It feels like a gift.
