Capturing the first few days of a newborn’s life is a precious and fleeting moment. Recently, I had the honor of photographing a lifestyle newborn session with baby Brooks and his parents in the comfort of their beautiful home. I was so excited to see Casey & Drew again so soon!

The nursery was a true showstopper. The neutral tones and timeless decor allowed the natural light to flood in, providing an ideal setting for lifestyle photography. The light and airy feel created the PERFECT lighting situation! Throughout the session, Brooks was an absolute dream to work with. His big beautiful eyes and full head of hair stole the show, and he remained calm and content, barely making a peep. We took a short break for a feeding to keep the good moods going, capturing those precious moments that make up daily life with a newborn.

These sessions are all about documenting the most precious moments that make up the early days of parenthood. From cozy piles on the bed or in Casey & Drew’s case the floor, to feeding breaks and diaper changes, every aspect of this new chapter is celebrated and preserved as a cherished memory. As a photographer, my goal is to create heirloom images that families can look back on and remember the sweetest moments of their journey.  Baby Brooks’ lifestyle newborn session was a beautiful reminder of the incredible privilege it is to freeze these precious moments in time for families to treasure forever.
