Spring senior sessions in Northwest Indiana are always beautiful, but this one was especially meaningful for me.

Aslyn is graduated from Crown Point High School, and heading to Ohio on a baseball scholarship — an incredible accomplishment that reflects years of dedication to the game he loves. Seriously one of the best baseball players we’ve ever known!

But this session was extra special for a personal reason.

I’ve actually known Aslyn his entire life. He’s family!

I lived just a few houses down from my cousin when he was born, and for the first couple years of his life he was like my own little baby. Getting to photograph his senior photos all these years later felt like such a full-circle moment.

A Hidden Gem in Northwest Indiana for Senior Photos

We photographed his senior session at one of my favorite hidden gems in Northwest Indiana. This location offers the perfect mix of open water views, natural textures, walking paths, and soft golden light — especially on a beautiful spring day like the one we had.

The fresh green grass, peaceful waterfront, and warm sunlight created a timeless backdrop that fit Aslyn’s personality perfectly. It gave us the versatility to capture both athletic and lifestyle portraits in one location.

Celebrating a Crown Point Baseball Senior

One of my favorite parts of senior sessions is incorporating what matters most to my seniors. For Aslyn, that meant baseball.

He brought his Crown Point Bulldogs uniform and glove, and those images feel especially meaningful knowing he’s continuing his baseball career at the collegiate level. There’s something powerful about documenting an athlete at the transition point between high school and the next chapter.

These aren’t just senior photos — they’re legacy images.

Senior year is such a pivotal season of life. It’s the final chapter of Friday night games, team traditions, and familiar hallways — and the beginning of something brand new.
