Jayson & Jessica are the most fun couple. You can just feel it when you’re with them! You can see it when you watch them interact. You can hear it in the stories that their family members and best friends shared about them. They are truly soulmates and best friends. They have an undeniable love for one another and that is why even a rainy, misty wedding day could be incredibly vibrant, warm and joyful!!

We showed up on the wedding day and the sprinkles were starting to fall. We brushed it off as nothing and prayed that the 50-60% chance of rain that we had seen on the forecast would dissipate and the sun would make an appearance! That didn’t happen. The exact opposite happened. As I was photographing Wedding Party photos outside of the bridal house, the heavens opened up and the rain came pouring down JUST before the ceremony at the beautiful Pavilion at Sandy Pines was to start. It wasn’t just a little spritz…. it seemed like it was setting in and my heart sank. Jayson and Jessica had picked the most amazing venue for their wedding day, which I may be a little bias since it’s where Captain America and I promised forever at. This sweet couple had invested so much. I was racking my brain for ideas of how to create beautiful portraits If we had to move the ceremony under the pavilion.

This was definitely one of those situations that I’m SOOOO GLAD They trusted us enough to choose to do a first look. It was certainly had down the sweetest and most emotional first looks I have ever done. Jayson and Jessica shared private vows and letters to each other and it was such an honor to be apart of that moment! We pushed back their ceremony just a few and the rain stopped.. There was a burst of motion as guests and servers were running around drying off chairs and in no time Jessica was getting the ceremony of her dreams in the beautiful garden.

What an honor to be the ones to capture their day!!! I loved getting to meet Jayson and Jessica’s families, celebrate alongside of them and document their love!!! Enjoy my favorites!
