Spring sessions have a way of bringing everything back to life, and Kirsten and Ryan’s engagement session at Coffee Creek was the perfect example of that.

The sun was shining, the trees were just starting to fill in with fresh green leaves, and the soft glow of spring light made the whole evening feel peaceful and full of promise. Coffee Creek is such a beautiful spot this time of year, with winding paths, water reflections, and the kind of quiet nature that makes it easy to slow down and enjoy the moment.

When Kirsten and Ryan first arrived, they both admitted they were a little nervous. That’s something I hear all the time at the start of engagement sessions, and it’s completely normal. Being in front of a camera can feel intimidating at first! But within just a few minutes, their nerves started to melt away.

What stood out most about these two was how genuinely sweet they were with each other. Ryan kept making Kirsten laugh with little comments and quiet jokes, and Kirsten’s smile lit up every time she looked at him. Those little in-between moments are always my favorite — the ones where couples forget the camera is even there.

As we wandered through Coffee Creek, the soft spring light filtered through the trees and reflected off the water, creating the dreamiest setting for their photos. The greens were just beginning to pop, giving everything that fresh, vibrant feeling that only spring can bring.

One of my favorite parts of the session was watching how comfortable they became together as the evening went on. What started with a little nervous laughter turned into natural smiles, quiet hugs, and those sweet moments where they leaned into each other without even thinking.

Sessions like this are such a reminder that engagement photos aren’t about being perfect in front of the camera. They’re about slowing down, enjoying each other, and celebrating this exciting season of life.
