There is something truly magical about fall in Indiana, and Sarah and Nico’s engagement session at Deep River County Park was the perfect reminder of why autumn is one of my favorite times of year for engagement photos.

Falling in Love

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with beautiful golden leaves, crisp autumn air, and the kind of soft sunlight photographers dream about. Deep River County Park provided the perfect backdrop with its winding trails, rustic bridges, and vibrant fall colors that seemed to surround us at every turn.

Leo Steals the Show

One of my favorite parts of this engagement session was getting to meet Sarah and Nico’s adorable golden retriever, Leo. Like many beloved fur babies, Leo quickly became the star of the show! His sweet personality, happy smile, and playful energy brought so much joy to the evening and made these photos even more meaningful. I always love when couples include their dogs in their engagement session because they are such an important part of their story.

As we explored Deep River County Park together, it became so clear how naturally Sarah and Nico fit together. Whether they were laughing together beneath the colorful trees, strolling through the park, or simply enjoying a quiet moment together, their connection was effortless and genuine.

One of the reasons I love engagement sessions is that they allow couples to slow down and enjoy this exciting season before the wedding day arrives. These sessions aren’t just about beautiful photos—they’re about creating memories and celebrating the journey toward marriage.

And speaking of weddings, the countdown is officially on! Sarah and Nico are getting married this Saturday, and after spending the evening with them during their engagement session, I couldn’t be more excited to celebrate alongside them.
